Meet our new Head of Digital Content

Meet our new head of digital content

We’re delighted to announce a new member of the Ammba team. Meet Matthew Jelfs, our Head of Content.

Matthew has over 10 years’ experience in the cultural and heritage sectors, with a particular emphasis working in libraries and archives. This background has provided Matthew with an understanding of the challenges and issues faced by cultural organisations.

As Content Lead for the Library of Birmingham during its ground-breaking re-development to be a digital library of the future project, Matthew worked comprehensively on the development of their website, mobile app and digital signage. He also developed policy and procedures around the end-to-end content production across the organisation, which included digitisation, metadata generation and writing copy.

Previous Ammba projects which Matthew has played an important curatorial and content role include the Imperial War Museum’s Centenary Connections app, British Council’s South Asia Digital Library Revolution, and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s museum app.

So connecting audiences with strong, visual and engaging content is Matthew’s thing. We’re thrilled to have him on board.
