Working with Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration
We’re super excited to announce that we’ve been appointed as AV and IT infrastructure advisors to the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration. Based in Clerkenwell, London this will be the first centre for illustration in the world and is founded by the internationally renowned artist and illustrator.
This exciting project is of particular interest to us here at Ammba. It connects our love for archive collections with our significant experience in developing AV and IT infrastructure designs for cultural and heritage visitor experiences and civic spaces.
Site visit
The centre will be housed in a restored industrial site called New River Head that was once used by Thames Water to draw water from Hertfordshire to supply the growing population of London. During a recent visit we were treated to an informative tour of this heritage site, exploring the original windmill and engine house. Once refurbished, the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration will include galleries, learning spaces, a shop, cafe and more.
What’s next for the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration?
This is a really fascinating project for us to be working on. We’re really looking forward to collaborating closely with the project team to help them bring their AV and IT infrastructure plans to life.
Drawing together and sharing a diverse range of wonderful illustrations and a dynamic programme of exhibitions, this intriguing heritage site will make the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration a vital hub for creativity, learning and the visual arts for many years to come.
