Our friends in the North
They say it’s grim up North, but for Ammba this couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact we’ve been working closely with the North East Film Archive (NEFA) and the Yorkshire Film Archive (YFA), two archives that came together in 2012 to ensure the preservation of moving image heritage in both areas.
We’re very excited to have just completed two exciting projects with the archives, which we began in January this year. One was to assess their current collections management system and to put forward recommendations for a future system. The other project was to create a Digital Engagement Strategy for NEFA’s North East on Film project. Both pieces of work will inform the archives’ bid for Stage 2 Heritage Lottery funding.
We’ve really enjoyed working with both NEFA and YFA on each of these projects, and thrilled to receive some great feedback from Director Sue Howard:
“A huge thanks to you all for your professional approach to the work, your flexibility on the tight timing, and your patience.”
