Solutions
Our experience over the years has led us to develop a range of products designed to solve recurring problems.
The first was the need for a secure video-sharing website that organisations could use. This led us to develop ReelPlatform. The second was that there wasn’t a contemporary platform for archives, libraries or museums to share their photographs online. Subsequently, we developed Corals. Lastly, we couldn’t found a flexible digital asset management system that integrated well with clients’ websites. So we were inspired to create Atoll.
Reelplatform
ReelPlatform is a web-based video-learning platform aimed at organisations that need to deliver training or professional development (CPD) remotely, such as coaching or training providers.
Importantly, it supports flexible, on-demand access: learners can view training anytime, anywhere, which helps when staff or participants are geographically dispersed or working different schedules.
Features include:
- Secure access to videos – ReelPlatform is a secure, password-protected site, which means that your content can only be accessed by your team, and there are no annoying adverts
- Uploading your own content – when you purchase an instance of ReelPlatform, you can upload all of your own video content and metadata in simple, easy-to-use fashion
- Libraries, playlists and search – users can enjoy a range of different features that make it easy to organise content, reuse videos, and ensure different learners access the most relevant materials
- Courses – beyond stand-alone videos, ReelPlatform supports creation of full courses, where videos can be grouped into courses, along with downloadable resources. This lets organisations emulate a more traditional training structure
- Reporting and monitoring – ReelPlatform provides reporting tools, where administrators can track which videos are being played, by whom
ReelLearning
ReelLearning is an instance of ReelPlatform that has been set up specifically for multi-academy trusts, international schools and teachers. It has all of the great features found in ReelPlatform, but is full of real-life classroom-filmed content that exemplifies best practice and supports CPD. Pricing plans are flexible, with monthly, annual or organisation plans
Corals
Corals is a white-label photo discovery platform purpose-built for heritage and cultural organisations. It blends a strong user-friendly search experience, with fresh, mobile-first design and opportunities for user-generated content that enable libraries, museums and archives to have their own site for the fraction of the cost of building from scratch.
Some of Corals key features include:
- Search – there are multiple different search approaches, aimed at both experienced researchers and new users
- User generated content and engagement – users can submit keywords, rate images and comment on images in the collection
- Income generation – organisations can supplement their income streams by selling digital copies of images and dedications that users can leave on their favourite images
- Contemporary design – Corals uses a contemporary design approach to engage a range of different users
Atoll
Building on Corals’ success, Atoll is a digital asset management system that enables organisations to share their collections online. Rather than act as a standalone platform, Atoll can be seamlessly integrated into a client’s website, incorporating their logo, branding and fonts. Atoll includes:
- Image and photo browsing – Atoll is designed to host large image collections
- Metadata and search – the platform includes comprehensive metadata making the archive more useful and searchable for seasoned researchers and novices alike
- Scalability – using Atoll means an organisation doesn’t need to build a custom platform, they can license the platform to host their collections for a fraction of the price of developing a website from scratch
