Objectives
Not only do we help organisations develop and launch great digital experiences, we also enable them to monitor and improve their websites once they are out in the wide world. A good example of this is the ongoing work we've been doing with MIA Ltd.
MIA Ltd are not-for-profit landlords who provide office and industrial lettings across Birmingham and Wolverhampton. To do this they currently operate the following three websites:
MIA Ltd
Prince Warnes
The Chubb buildings
They wanted to find out how well these sites were performing and to understand where improvements could be made to user journeys, layouts and content.
Solutions
Using Google Analytics, we provide MIA Ltd with monthly reports and high-level analysis to help them understand engagement with their sites and to drive potential improvements. This is done using Google’s Looker Studio.
If you’re not familiar with this product, then we strongly recommend you take, erm, a look. It’s a great tool for packaging up and presenting Google Analytics’ data in a very visual way. Using colourful graphs, tables and charts, it’s a refreshing counterpart to the standard reporting in GA.
What are we measuring?
Our monthly reports include a range of different metrics that we agreed with MIA. They include:
- Pageviews
- Unique pageviews
- Avg. time on page
- Bounce rate
- Exit rate
- Pages /session
Monthly and annual reports
In addition to monthly reporting, we also provide the MIA team with a 12 month comparison report for each site. This enables them to get the long view on their performance.
Providing context
We provide some analysis of the data from Google Analytics, which helps to contextualise the information. This includes describing trends, understanding what might drive changes to data and making recommendations built on this data.
