Supporting Nord Anglia University to share best practice across their network of over 80 international schools
Results
Informative, multi-film case study delivered
A suite of digital films and supporting assets that explain Nord Anglia University’s approach to being a data-informed school and how this impacts learning, curriculum planning, assessment and communication.
User-centered narrative established
Video content that supports different audiences (students, leaders, teachers, support staff) to understand the approach, and the impact this can have, but from their perspective.
School-owned, repeatable model communicated
The content captures a ‘three-cycle data rhythm and moderation processes’ and presents it in a way that other schools can understand and use to inform and inspire their own approach.
Objectives
Nord Anglia University wanted to strengthen how its network of schools understand and support student progress, academically and pastorally, while avoiding a “numbers-driven” culture. Their model brings together teacher judgement, alongside other evidence sources, moderation, and interventions.
Our challenge was that this is an inherently complex story, especially to capture and communicate in video format. Our role was to take that complexity, reframe it through the viewer’s lens, and create digital content that made the approach clear, trusted, impactful and informative.
We captured five drivers with the schools, to guide development of the videos:
Data-informed, not data-driven
Clarity over complexity
Consistency builds trust (through moderation)
Insight must lead to action
Designed around student needs
"The videos do a fantastic job of showcasing how this can be achieved when the right culture and engagement are in place. It’s clear how much effort went in to producing them, congratulations to all involved and well done to the school data champions!”

Solutions
We worked with British International School Houston and Windermere Preparatory School in Florida, and filmed with their leaders, teachers, students and parents to shape a user-centred story of their data journey, from evolving strategy to embedded practice.
Spending a week onsite in Houston and also in Florida, our production team captured footage of staff and students at both schools. We developed a set of structured and impactful films, that were uploaded to the Nord Anglia University’s instance of ReelPlatform, to be viewed in their schools across the world.
Simple explanations
The final outputs provide a simple, credible explanation of a sophisticated system, — making it easier for users to engage with and understand the approach.
