Rewind 2018
With the festive season almost upon us, it’s the perfect time to reflect upon the previous 12 months. In time-honoured fashion we’ve put together our own end-of-year review for you to enjoy.
Every year is a special year, but 2018 has been particularly kind to us and we’ve had some fun projects to work on. It’s undoubtedly been our best yet, as we’ve continued to make exciting inroads into both the heritage and education sectors. We’ve also been fortunate to work on some other fab projects along the way.
Going global
Our ReelPlatform product has truly gone global this year. We’ve supported Early Excellence to launch a 3-month training course for early years practitioners in China. Similarly our quest for world domination has led us to film in such exciting places as Dubai and Bratislava for Nord Anglia!
We also enjoyed heading westwards in April, starting a new project with the Ontario Province Government in Toronto, Canada. That’s another country ticked off the list.
Corals continues to grow
It’s been brilliant to see our archives photo platform Corals grow during 2018. Back in July we were thrilled to launch the Ripon Re-Viewed instance. It’s home to a fantastic collection of images that stretch back into the 19th Century. We’re also working with the Wenlock Olympian Society to develop their own version of Corals. Due to launch early next year, this will be home to the historic archives of this important precursor to the modern Olympic movement.
This sporting life
Sport has definitely been a recurring theme this year. One of our favourite projects has been the development of a new website for the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC). Working with partners Entec Si, we’re leading on the visioning, digital quality assurance and content creation for this exciting organisation.
Along with CSSC, we’ve also continued to support the Silverstone Experience with their website. We’re so excited to see this project hurtle toward opening in 2019.
Team Ammba’s newest members
How can we round up the year without mentioning our latest recruits? Buffy has been with us since the summer. As well as doing a sterling job in organising us, Buffy’s work on the Early Excellence China project has meant she’s become Ammba’s resident Mandarin speaker!
We’re also thrilled to have Nadine onboard, who joined us in November. With a background in education and IT project management, Nadine is getting stuck into managing projects for us.
Our round-up wouldn’t be complete without a special mention to our directors Becky and Robbie, who got married back in June. Hurray!
Looking forwards
As we wrap up for Christmas, we want to thank all of our lovely clients and partners for helping to make 2018 a cracker. Here’s to a fantastic 2019 one and all!
